Inauguration of New Parliament by PM Modi
As part of India’s Central Vista Redevelopment project, a new Parliament building construction is completed in New Delhi. The new Parliament building is the symbol of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Recently Speaker Om Birla has invited PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate the new Parliament building on 28th may 2023. The building construction completed within time frame decided.
Who laid Foundation stone of new parliament?
Foundation stone of the new Parliament building was laid by PM Narendra Modi on 10th December 2020 and construction started on 15th January 2021. Construction of New Parliament has been competed after 28 month of time span.
Features of New Parliament:
1. Area of building is 65000 square meters.
2. Approximate cost of building is 970 crore.
3. Building has built in triangular shape.
4. Building is earthquake resistant.
5. Building has 4 floors.
6. There are 6 entrances in the building.
7. Made 120 offices in the building.
8. Lay Smart Display on the furniture of building.
9. Biometric system has install for easy voting of members.
10. Transmission system is the main attraction of building it enables MP to speak in any one of the 22 scheduled languages recognized by the constitution and other MPs can easily understand.
11. 30 percent power consumption can be reduced through eco- friendly green construction in Parliament house.
12. It is constructed to meet the requirement of 150 years.
It is believed that this new Parliament house will emerge as a grand example of architecture that competes with the monuments of colonial times.
